About Lyra

I am a Math tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Operations Research. My main passion is showing how mathematics powers the world of finance and business. I believe that numbers tell stories—and in finance, those stories can shape decisions and create opportunities. I specialize in financial mathematics and quantitative reasoning, focusing on topics such as interest rates, investment growth, and risk analysis. My lessons go beyond formulas by exploring why these concepts matter in real-world contexts. Students learn not just how to calculate, but how to interpret results for practical decision-making. I often use case studies and real-world economic data to bring lessons to life. Financial modeling is a big part of my approach, helping learners see how math directly informs strategies in banking, investment, and corporate planning. About the lesson

My teaching approach is built around making complex maths clear, logical, and manageable. I believe that every big challenge can be solved by breaking it into smaller, simpler steps. This helps learners build understanding without feeling overwhelmed.
