About Mira
I am a passionate tutor with 7 years of experience teaching Chess to students from school to college. My journey in education began with a deep love for the game and a strong belief that learning should be both fun and meaningful. Over the years, I’ve helped many students improve their thinking skills, build confidence, and enjoy the beauty of chess. One of my proudest moments was coaching a group of beginners who went on to win school-level tournaments. I believe every student has the potential to grow with the right support and guidance. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging space where students can learn, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love for learning. Teaching is not just my job—it’s my passion, and I feel proud to be part of each student’s journey.

My teaching method is based on Communication, Integrity, and Flexibility. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit their style and pace. In chess, I focus on building strong fundamentals—openings, tactics, strategy, and endgames—while encouraging critical thinking and patience. I guide students through each step with clear explanations and real game examples. We review past games, play practice matches, and solve puzzles to build both skill and confidence. I also teach related games like checkers, backgammon, and Risk to develop broader thinking and strategy. I create a supportive space where students feel heard, respected, and motivated to improve. My goal is to help them grow not just as players, but as focused and thoughtful individuals.
