About Léa

Hello ! I have been a language student for several years, I will be graduating with a master's degree in Translation and Interpretation in English and Spanish in a few months. I had the chance to teach at the faculty for 1 year and I plan to reorient myself towards teaching, which is why I am preparing the competition for school teacher. I speak and understand English fluently, I understand Spanish fluently. I love to share my knowledge and help others, and I especially enjoy spending time with children. Moreover, my BAFA is specializes in early childhood. Personally, I love to draw, play sports, read and listen to music. Pleased to meet you !

Support classes are not always welcome as they are often the result of poor grades or gaps. But every child is capable of doing great things, it is often the methods of education which are not adapted to their personality.
This is why I introduce a positive pedagogy, which highlights progress while correcting difficulties. This moment will be destined to improve and become better so that the child can achieve their goals. My classes are adapted to their personality, their abilities and their needs.

We will review what has been learned in class, we will do targeted exercises on grammar, syntax, comprehension and expression in French. My university studies also taught me the rigor of writing texts, so I know how to spot writing errors that can affect the overall quality of an assignment, especially at college / high school / university level.
Obviously, any other field of education will be possible if the child feels the need.

My course is divided into two categories of exercise: educational exercises and fun exercises.
- The educational exercises are very similar to what your child does in class: questions, writing, speaking, etc. The goal is for your child to consolidate his knowledge as he would in a classroom.
- The fun exercises aim to use the knowledge learned to put it into practice and appropriate it, while having fun. In my presentation I talk about my passion for music, does your child like it too? So the fun exercises can take the form of understanding speech, poetry ... He loves basketball? So let's talk about that, but in English of course! Thus, your child will not have the impression of learning in order to learn, a feeling that is often disappointing in learning. English and French are fun, and very useful!

My teaching method works this way, regardless of the level or age of the learner:
1) 1st lesson
Determine the needs and expectations of the pupil during the first session after communication with the learner and / or his parents . We will determine the objective of these courses (leveling, exam, overall improvement ...), the environment (distance, at home) and the pace of work (schedule, homework), the types of resources (books , dicos ...). This 1st session is meant to exchange in order to get to know each other better and adapt the courses according to the difficulties, gaps or strengths.
2) Beginning of the session
Review of what has been seen at school and in private lessons to identify needs and remember lessons.
3) Sessions
Pedagogical teaching according to objectives and capacities. Consolidation of the bases, improvement in the successes and improvement in the difficulties. Help with homework.
4) End of session
Learner's feeling and feedback

If you like my method, then do not hesitate to contact me to discuss it with me!
