About FERNANDO
I am a lawyer graduated from PUC-SP and just returned from Spain, where I spent a year and a half studying a master's degree at the University of Salamanca. Being a grandson of Spaniards on both the maternal and paternal side, I speak Spanish since childhood. I have 2 years of experience teaching Spanish to non-native speakers, especially in writing and conversation. I feel comfortable teaching at all levels, whether individual or group. I feel that most people think studying Spanish may seem a bit unnecessary because of its similarity to Portuguese, when in fact this is the language's greatest difficulty for speakers. So, I try to show my students all the "is" drops to separate Spanish from Portunhol and to appreciate how beautiful and easy it is to speak Spanish.

I truly believe in the communicative method of teaching. Therefore, I always base my classes on everyday situations that have to do with the student's reality. The aim is to insert the language in the context in which it is actually used, thus developing a more natural and fluent language. That said, personalized attention is critical to the fast and effective learning of my students. Each of my classes is created from a specific theme, taking into account the interests, goals and difficulties of each student. I also believe that one of the biggest difficulties in learning a new language is fear - especially the fear of making mistakes - so I always try to lighten classes and be as interactive as possible. Whatever the student interests, they will be included in the classes, such as international news, academic texts, literature and so on. It's the perfect opportunity to be able to communicate without fear or shame with all the speakers of the world (without tripping over Portunhol)!
