About Cynthia
I have over 30 years of successful teaching experience in mathematics and physical education for grades 7–12 in both the classroom and online environments. I am a strong advocate and leader that is faithful and passionate about doing what is best for all stakeholders in the environment in which I serve. Being a firm believer in collaboration, mindfulness, and movement, I aim to develop the total person. My focus is on enabling people to grow and develop by creating an equitable environment that fosters gathering information through all senses as well as continually discovering newfound appreciation for knowledge and how it can be applied to their life. I am a reflective educator, leader, and lifelong learner that is always evolving, growing, and striving on a journey towards excellence. In order to be successful as a tutor, you must have an understanding of what type of learner your student is. Therefore, I ensure takes ownership of their learning and guides how the session will be designed so that I can implement instruction that specifically meets their needs. In a typical lesson, I will first diagnose where the misconception is. After that has been identified, the learning path is determined. Lessons are designed for 5th-12th grade and includes general math, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
