About Ethan
Hello everyone! I'm a college student currently studying advanced mathematical topics such as multivariable and vector calculus as well as applications of vectors and matrices. I'm quite a bit of a math nerd, and math is a really enjoyable topic for me because it appears quite more than you think in our life in many ways and forms, from applied mathematics in fields like economics, engineering, physics and more. It's interesting how our foundations are built from math and that's the reason why I'm currently trying to study such advanced math concepts for myself. I do have a lot of experience teaching math from children to teenagers within my school and even peers in college, so be well aware that I know what I'm doing! I will say though that math was always a struggle for me when I was young, but it's something that I've grown to love and I hope that it's something that can be enjoyable or something that can be a little bit more bearable through my teaching.

I'm someone who likes to not give answers (sorry if you were looking for a simple tutoring session this is not it!), but someone who really wants to see if you know the material at heart. I will build my lessons and build up ideas slowly when teaching, but it's because if you're able to understand basics and why everything works, it helps more in the long run.
Typical lesson plans look like an explanation or background of topic (in some cases like why functions act the way they do or where we derive things from), and then some simple examples and challenge problems. I also try to implement my lessons based on a certain idea that might be related to the math instead of it being simply just detached from our world so it feels more real world and you can understand the connection.
These lessons are for high school students struggling in certain areas of math and looking for more help on perhaps why things are the way they are and also the approaches to solving problems. I'm especially good at proofs for geometry and also calculus related questions.
