About Lauren
Hello! My name is Lauren, and I love Math! I am a college student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, majoring in Mathematics, and have been tutoring for 3+ semesters at UAH. After tutoring through UAH, I realized how much I enjoy helping students with math, so I have started tutoring independently! I have not always been a crazy math lover. In middle school and early high school, math was probably my least favorite subject. However, later in high school, I had a couple of really great teachers who explained the topics in a way that I understood, and I have loved math ever since! I strongly believe that anyone can be good at math. Math is a notoriously difficult subject however, with the right teaching, you may even love it as much as I do. I would love to be the one to make math click for you!

What you can expect out of my sessions:
I structure my sessions in three different ways, depending on your needs. My goal is to use strategies and techniques that help you specifically.
1) Homework help: I will walk you through the homework/resources you have brought to the session
2) Teaching session: I will dedicate a large portion of our session to teaching you the material and supporting with practice problems
3) Additional Practice session: I will prepare a bunch of practice problems relating to topics you need practice in.
