About Jose
I am a Mechanical Engineering senior at the University of South Florida with an overall GPA of 3.97 that is excited by people learning and getting involved with STEM concepts. Throughout my schooling, I have always found myself explaining things to my classmates that they couldn’t understand from the teacher, this ultimately led my to work as a tutor in my university for 2 years now. Outside of school, I have been able to get several internships in engineering and project management in companies like Tesla and others. I truly believe that as a student, I have a unique perspective on how to teach different subjects and I think I can help students to achieve a greater understanding of them

With a little over two years of experience tutoring at my university’s tutoring center, I have found that by being a student myself, I know the best way to phrase and communicate concepts in a way that is easier to understand and learn for students. Working problems along with the students is the best way for them to actually learn how something is done rather than just seeing someone else do it, involvement in the process is key.
