About Jessica
I am a first year medical student and have been tutoring science at GCSE level for 3 months and also have some experience teaching a variety of subjects at primary school and KS3 level. I have tutored 7 different students so far in recurring sessions, both in groups and 1 to 1. I have A-levels in both Chemistry and Biology and am continuing to improve my scientific knowledge in my degree.

I am a first year at university and I am happy to teach any level from primary school up to GCSE level in sciences, I am particularly experienced in Biology and Chemistry. I can also offer other subjects if enquired about. I aim to make my lessons engaging by having a lot of discussion and a mixture of activities to ensure everything is being understood rather than the student doing mostly independent work as I found this way to be more effective. My general lesson structures include some discussion on existing knowledge, starter questions, exploring of key concepts and exam questions to check understanding. I also make sure to find out what the student wants to learn and struggles with and make sure to prepare lessons on these topics.
