About Kristin
I graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in ASL/Deaf Studies. I took many Deaf Studies classes in addition to ASL, including History of the Deaf Community and Gestural Communication, and found these topics to be both fascinating and extremely helpful in my daily life. I have always been interested in ASL and Deaf culture, and I have used what I learned to continue teaching others about the history of the Deaf community and their language.

As an ASL student, I realized very quickly that the best way to learn the language was to practice it. I encourage tutees to record themselves practicing in order to ensure that the signs are clear and correct. We will be following a textbook, either one that I bring or the one assigned by your class, as applicable, and I will share all of the resources I've found to help you succeed in learning this beautiful language.
