About Brenda

I am a university graduate in Cuba, my native country, with a degree in Musicology, which links the Humanities with the Arts, and I specialized in music history, theory and criticism. I was a teacher for many years of music theory subjects and I have worked with students of various ages: preschool, primary and secondary school children, teenagers, young people and also with adults.

I have a solid background in didactics and in Spanish language and literature.
For more than 15 years I have been writing scripts for radio and television, as well as articles for magazines and newspapers in my country. I have my own section on a Cuban television program in which I do phonographic reviews.

I recently moved to Sweden, where I live with my husband and two young daughters, and my house is a vortex of Swedish, English, and Spanish phrases.

I am also a piano and music theory teacher.

About the lesson

Each lesson addresses a specific topic about vocabulary or grammar, and ends with an assignment to exercise what you have learned at home. Classes are flexible and personalized, but can be aimed at beginner, intermediate and advanced Spanish learners, and follow the parameters of the European Framework of Reference A1-B2 for the Spanish language.

After the first lesson, I create a plan that adapts to the desires, possibilities, and purposes of each student. We can work with images, games, music, movies and/or books depending on your interests. We will speak a lot of Spanish in each class and I will help you with correct phonetics and grammar.

Do you want your child to have fun learning the basics of the Spanish language? Do you need your slightly older child to review the Spanish content they received at school? Are you planning to travel to a Spanish-speaking country and want to be able to communicate? Are you simply a lover of Spanish language and literature and want to learn this language in depth?

Anne es una conversadora nata y su español ya es muy bueno. Hemos realizado pocos encuentros, pero puedo decir que es una aprendiz seria, dedicada y puntual, y que está verdaderamente interesada en perfeccionar sus habilidades. Juanto a Anne la conversación fluye y se enriquece. Creo que va a ser una buena comunicadora en español!

Sonen tycker att formen är toppen. Det är roligt att prata med Brenda som är både trevlig och lättpratad. Trots att de bara setts några tillfällen upplever han redan att det flyter lite lättare.
