About Austin
I have been tutoring since I was a young one; I started way back in 4th grade. Throughout all of my schooling, I have actively seemed out those in need. I have experience teaching grammar, ELA skills, phonics, and more- I also have ESL training. As for history, I graduated from Bard College with a BA in History. Throughout my primary, secondary, and post -secondary schooling, an emphasis has always been placed on history - this is why I am very well versed and always ready to help educate others.

I am a very free-style tutor. This is not to say that there will not be structure, but I do find that the best and most engaging learning experiences come about when the student is allowed to freely tackle subjects, address their confusions head on in a safe space , and apply the knowledge that they’ll leave with based on conclusions that are derived more so from self - as opposed to those created in a strict , “by the book” learning environment. The mind should be allowed to wander but with purpose.
