About Nir
Hi, I'm Nir, a screen composer, songwriter, record producer and music teacher. I have been teaching music for 12 years — leading a private studio in St Kilda East, where I teach the guitar, songwriting, music theory and composition. As a singer-songwriter, I have been leading two alternative rock/pop bands, with whom I've recorded three studio albums and played hundreds of shows in Israel and Australia. I am currently recording my fourth album – a solo project for a string quartet that premiered at Melbourne Recital Centre in 2021. In addition, I compose music for film, advertising, dance and theatre. My portfolio includes award-winning projects for ABC, Respect Victoria, Jalna, iSelect, Hapoel Jerusalem B.C, Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva Orchestra, Jerusalem Street Orchestra, and more. I hold a bachelor's degree in Composition from The Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance and a current Working With Children Check.
