About Chris
I believe one of my main strengths as a tutor is that I have very recently studied the content and taken the exams that my students are currently working towards which allows me to fully relate and support my students in ways which other tutors may not. Furthermore, I also underwent the newly changed GCSE exams which many other tutors have not, meaning that my lessons will be perfectly tailored to this new style of examination. Furthermore, I also know exactly what examiners are looking for and what content, skills and techniques are beneficial when taking both GCSE and A level exams, as well as what content and themes are most important for students in low stages of education. I have a wide range of revision methods and styles and will be perfectly equipped to support students undertaking these exams as I personally know exactly what support students need. Furthermore, as a university student, I have the time, resources and skills to research and prepare personalised lessons for individual students directly addressing any questions or issues which they are experiencing. I am fully committed to providing quality and beneficial lessons and believe that I can be a valuable asset to any student given my detailed knowledge of the content and exams they are studying for.

My tutoring lessons are online via interactive whiteboards such as bitpaper or simply via sites such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom. I am a very committed and patient person and am happy tutoring any level and ability up to A level. While I don’t have any professional tutoring experience I was a maths tutor for key stage 3 during my time at sixth form and have a dyslexic younger brother who I began tutoring 5 years ago and continue to do so. My lesson length is varied depending on the age and ability of my students but normally my lessons are one hour long. As a university student I have very flexible hours and will be more than happy to accommodate any specific requests for individual students. My teaching style is varied yet I believe strongly in personalisation and I will strive to make sure my lessons are tailored exactly to how each of my students requires both in the style and content of my lessons.

We recommend Chris as he is a very kind young man and puts a lot of thought into each lesson. He helped my daughter immensely as his explanations were very clear and I could see her confidence grow from session to session. Definitely a great choice.
Chris always conducted the sessions very professionally but was extremely relatable for his students. His flexibility with the sessions allowed us to find the right time making it a lot less stressful when trying to fit the sessions into our routine. He also adapted the style of how he carried out the sessions to allow it to be more interesting. Chris has been such a great help and we highly recommend him.
I genuinely believe he is a great tutor. He is calm and persistent, and good at engaging well with a wide range of people. He's very determined, and would take pride in being able to help others to learn. He would not let someone down - going above and beyond to help explain issues and ensure learning was embedded and fully understood.
