Hi, My name is Elena I work for Public Schools as a licensed teacher. My interest with working with people began with my undergraduate in Recreational Therapy. For the past three years I have been teaching grade levels kindergarten to third grade. I have seen success in my students in math, reading, and writing. I believe maintaining a pattern within instruction to boost recall through engaging activities improves academic skills.

Teaching within the public school system has given me a great deal of experiences and techniques to support different types of learning. I have a schedule I follow which consists of fluency, reading, comprehension, and writing. I also use the Science of Reading to pace my lessons have reading material. For math I would follow county pacing to ensure your student has the background information necessary for their next grade level. I would implement a positive reinforcements such as movement breaks to promote incentive and improve focus.
