About Joyce
My career has been that of a classroom Mathematics instructor and tutor of students. I have consistently led students to new levels of achievement including moving incoming seventh-grade students to a 94% passage rate of the EIGHTH grade state exams after 7 months of instruction. My students move into Algebra I classes as eighth graders and successfully complete the End-of-Course exams at a 99-100% rate and earn their first high school credit leading to their ongoing success. I proudly participated in my school earning the National Intel Award for middle school mathematics instruction given to only one school each year.

I am a National Board Certified teacher and have a Masters degree in Economics Education. I bring 46 years of successful mathematics instruction as a Master teacher in Texas and Ohio. I integrate remediation of skills and build mathematics foundations of understanding as I employ inquiry-based instructional strategies to assist students in learning grade-appropriate skills at a rigorous level.
