About Ripley

I am a dedicated piano teacher with over fourteen years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, which gives me a strong foundation in both technique and musical expression. My teaching philosophy centers on active participation, encouraging students to connect deeply with the music and understand its intent. I believe that well-rounded musicianship comes from blending history, theory, technique, and creativity in every lesson. I tailor my approach to fit each student’s unique needs and learning style. Whether you are a beginner just starting out, an advanced player refining your skills, or a professional aiming to excel, I am here to support your growth. My lessons are designed to build confidence and foster a lasting passion for music. I enjoy bringing music history and theory into lessons, helping students see the bigger picture behind the notes. Technique is important, but I also encourage creativity and personal expression. Together, we explore the many sides of piano playing, making learning both structured and inspiring. About the lesson

In my piano lessons, I combine structured theory with listening skills to help you understand music deeply. I believe playing expressively is just as important as learning notes and scales. That’s why I include movement-based rhythm games to make learning fun and interactive. These games help you feel the beat in your body, improving your timing and coordination.

I mix traditional teaching methods with creative play and modern tools, making each lesson engaging and fresh. Whether you want to read sheet music or create your own sounds, I support your journey every step of the way. For those interested in composing or producing digitally, I guide you in developing skills to excel with modern music technology.

My goal is to help you grow as a musician, building confidence and passion. I adapt lessons to fit your level and interests, from beginner to advanced. Together, we will explore music in a way that feels exciting and meaningful. Learning piano should be fun, and I’m here to make sure it is.
