About Godfrey

Dear Future Students,

My name is Godfrey, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my passion for software engineering with you. Let me tell you a bit about myself and why I am dedicated to teaching.

Who I Am

I have a diverse professional background that spans software engineering, banking, and education. I hold a B.Sc. in Economics and have over six years of combined experience in teaching and working in the banking sector. This unique blend of experiences has equipped me with a broad skill set and a deep understanding of both technical and analytical fields.

Software Engineering: I specialize in web development with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Flask, and SQLAlchemy. I’ve worked on various projects, from building dynamic web applications to managing databases and deploying applications in real-world environments.

Banking: My three years as an account officer in both retail and consumer banking at UBA plc have given me valuable insights into the financial industry. I’ve applied my technical skills to streamline banking operations and enhance customer experience.

Teaching: With three years of teaching experience, I have developed a knack for breaking down complex concepts and making them accessible and engaging. I’ve taught a wide range of subjects, always striving to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Why I Want to Teach!
Teaching is not just a profession for me; it’s a calling. Here’s why I am passionate about teaching software engineering:

Empowering Others: I believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for personal and professional growth. By sharing my knowledge and experience, I aim to empower you to achieve your goals and unlock your potential.

Making a Difference: There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my students succeed. Whether it’s mastering a new programming language, completing a challenging project, or landing your dream job, your success is my greatest motivation.

Lifelong Learning: Teaching allows me to stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving tech industry. I am constantly learning and adapting, which not only enhances my skills but also enables me to provide you with the most up-to-date knowledge and techniques.

Building Connections: I cherish the connections I build with my students. Teaching is a collaborative process, and I learn as much from you as you do from me. These interactions enrich my teaching practice and inspire me every day.

Inspiring the Next Generation: I want to inspire a new generation of software engineers who are not only skilled but also passionate and innovative. By fostering a love for learning and problem-solving, I hope to contribute to the growth of a vibrant tech community.

I am excited to embark on this educational journey with you. Together, we will explore the fascinating world of software engineering, tackle challenges, and celebrate achievements. Let’s make this learning experience both impactful and enjoyable!

Sincerely,
Godfrey Ibhagbosoria
