About Lisa
I have over a decade of experience tutoring and teaching mathematics and physics, both online and in-person. I absolutely love helping people learn! I began tutoring during my first year of college, became a head tutor for Wittenberg University's tutoring center during my time as a student there, and eventually went on to become a teaching assistant during my physics graduate studies at University of Oklahoma, teaching recitation courses and an online astronomy course.
After earning my master's degree, I taught upper-level physics courses at a 4-year university as an adjunct for a semester and then took a tenure-track position in Montana building a new physics and upper-level mathematics program for Helena College. After building the program, I decided to start both a private tutoring business and a software development business, and moved to Kentucky to be closer to family.
Although my primary focus is now my software development business, I still tutor online regularly and I teach college courses as an adjunct professor at a couple of colleges in the area to give back to my local community. I am always looking to help as many students as I can!

Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I especially love one-on-one tutoring. There is nothing more rewarding than helping students understand a difficult subject. I like to keep a positive, welcoming learning environment with plenty of patience and no pressure. Let me help you learn at your own pace!
I teach students of all ages, in many different subjects including pre-algebra, introductory physics, calculus, statistics, and computer programming, with a focus on college and high school courses. I have a lot of experience helping students who struggle with ADHD, dyscalculia, and dyslexia and can adjust my lessons accordingly to fit anyone's needs. I put a large focus on explaining the base concepts of each topic so students walk away truly understanding the material and how to apply it.
It may seem impossible now, but you can do this! Feel free to send me a message and we can schedule a lesson. I'm looking forward to helping you succeed!
