About Makenzie

I am an empathetic, patient and compassionate teacher - I believe in supporting both your well-being and mental health as much as your academic progress. I love teaching as it means I can connect with adolescents and make a difference, even if it's a small one. I strive to make my lessons a safe space, where students can thrive and grow as individuals. My values as a teacher include compassion, respect and empathy

❀ Lessons for ages 11-18 ❀ 1hr-2hr lessons ❀ LGBTQIA+ friendly ❀ QUT Bachelor of Secondary Education Graduate ❀ Holistic, student-centered pedagogy ❀ Uses strategies and techniques to suit personality and needs of students (ie ASD, ADHD, trauma etc) ❀ Experience in Inclusive (special) Education ❀ Experience teaching a variety of year levels and topics ❀ Cert 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care
