  "有缘千里来相会" (yǒu yuán qiān lǐ lái xiāng huì) is a beautiful phrase in Mandarin, which means that destiny can bring individuals together no matter how far apart they are. This expression emphasizes the significance of fate and relationships in Chinese culture, including the special bond between a tutor and their student who are brought together for a common purpose:-)

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world and is the official language of China, which has the second-largest economy in the world. Knowing Mandarin can open up many economic opportunities for business, trade, and investment in China.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  There are several difficulties in learning Mandarin, including:

One personal example I can share is that of my son, who was born in the UK and primarily spoke English. However, after spending just one month in China, he made significant progress in his Mandarin abilities.
