For the longest time I have been involved one way or another with mathematical thinking, which been an integral part of my judgement in others professions I held in life ( Customs and Border Protection Officer) bartender , college adjunct professor etc.

A typical lesson plan is often draw motivations from real life examples that can be used to motivate mathematical reasoning For example, the one to one correspondence principle used in simple counting is used from elementary to advanced mathematics, for example, in ancients times we could know the number of animals we kept by associating every animal we had by the elements of a set of rocks, more rocks than animals, animals are missing, etc ,etc.
