Phd Candidate with 10 years of English Teaching Experience gives ESL lessons to students worldwide

Methodology

After graduating with a Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature, as well as a State Teaching Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and Research in Higher Education, I embarked on my teaching journey. I have taught English to many levels, ranging from preschoolers and high school students to university students.I have developed phenomenal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. I have become proficient in developing comprehensive lesson plans, addressing students’ diverse and unique learning needs, as well as integrating multicultural teaching units. One of my teaching strengths, that my supervisors always applaud, is developing stimulating lesson plans that meet the needs of all learning styles. My number one priority in teaching is to accommodate students via visual, audio and kinesthetic teaching methods, which enable students to feel safe, secure, and appropriately challenged.

Background

I love learning and the pursuit of knowledge because I believe they are the most gratifying human endeavor. This is why I have made teaching my career. My teaching experience consists of 5 years as an English high school teacher at Al Mansour Dahbi High and 5 years as a graduate teaching assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas. Throughout my teaching career I have worked with over 300 students of different ages (14 to 23), levels, and abilities, ranging from 101 English for beginners to upper-intermediate / advanced students. I have also taught a great variety of subjects and skills such as: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation, and Oral English. My passion for teaching is so contagious that I manage to instill the same passion for learning in all my students. It is, then, my responsibility to ensure that all students are fully engaged in both academic and vocational learning to achieve above and beyond their highest potential.

I sat next to Imane for 3 weekends taking a TESOL class. She was very personable. Everyone in our class loved her. She even made us some food from her home country and tea! She has a great smile. She is encouraging and down to earth.
