About Hugo
I have just started my second year of my PhD (Bac + 6) in computational physics at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. I did all my studies up to the baccalaureate in France, at the Institution des Chartreux in Lyon, where I followed the S stream with the physics and chemistry specialty and I obtained my baccalaureate with "Very Good" mention. I then continued my studies in the United Kingdom at the University of Bristol by obtaining my Masters in physico-chemistry as a major in my promotion. I finally decided to go to Ireland to discover the world of Machine Learning (Artificial Intelligence) which combines mathematics and algorithms. I combine these methods with physical simulations in order to discover new materials.

I am looking to help high school students who have chosen mathematics or physics-chemistry specialties, as well as those looking for a tutor for science education in the common core. Students of all levels are welcome, whether it is to catch up on shortcomings, improve on certain chapters or aim for very good grades. All the lessons will be done by webcam as I am not in France. In terms of methodology, I aim to help my students on two fronts: the content of the subject and the methodology. It seems to me essential not only to have a good knowledge of the course, but also to know how to deploy your knowledge in an efficient way during questions or exams. ➢ Lessons and exercises Whenever I approach a new subject with a student, it is important to take the time to discuss the lesson in order to understand which aspects have been acquired and which need to be revisited. For the latter, I explain them using a table (online) of graphic representations. I take these important points taught on a sheet, which I send at the end of the course to the student so that he is sure to have a written record of the course. Then we move on to the exercises, because to be sure to be comfortable and confident in the questions, you have to practice. I therefore first propose exercises aimed at validating what has been learned from the course. We can then increase the difficulty little by little, until we reach exercises of the written question type. I prefer to spend as much time as possible on this part because it is by making the students learn. ➢ Methodology Methodology is a very important part of learning and is often overlooked in traditional high school lessons. My personal success in high school and even post-bac has relied heavily on my methodological bases that I was able to build throughout my education. I also like to bring my experience in this field to the students. This methodology begins with how to learn, how to integrate new information. She then goes through an organization of her work, in order to stay up to date on the lessons and exercises to be done and thus be ready to learn new concepts. Finally, it ends with the development of techniques for passing the written questions, whether upstream, during the preparation phase or during the questioning. If you have any questions about my methodology or others, please do not hesitate to contact me. Hugo
