About the lesson
When tutoring, I both suggest places for improvement and provide specific and actionable steps for making those changes. Writing is a skill set, and I set out to help students develop those skills as they formulate, strengthen, and polish a specific piece of writing.
I have diagnosed ADHD and am constantly using and discovering strategies to work with my attention and executive function. I know first hand that ADHD can feel like an insurmountable barrier to reaching your potential, but there are actionable strategies for people with ADHD. I have found the deepest joy in seeing students with ADHD reach their potential, having previously believed they never could, by using strategies I have shared.

About Noa
I graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University with B.A. degrees in English (with a creative writing emphasis) and in philosophy.
I scored a 36 on the English portion of the ACT and a 35 on the reading portion. I scored a 5 on the AP Language and Composition Exam and have extensive knowledge in essay writing from my university coursework. My degree in philosophy has provided me important experience in formulating clear and tight arguments. In terms of my creative work, my writing has been published and performed. My favorite creative genre is playwriting, and I can provide guidance on playwriting format, submissions, 'rules', and play development in general.
