About Felix
I have recently completed an undergraduate degree in philosophy and am keen to help GCSE and A-Level students who may be new to the subject or who are looking for ways to improve. During my final year at university, I helped first year philosophy students with their essays and took part in multiple student-led conferences. From these experiences, as well as from my experience as a philosophy student as a whole, I have come to believe in one-to-one support as an invaluable aid to this discursive subject. Having been a school/Sixth Form student studying philosophy and ethics in the not-too-distant past, I know that studying this subject can be challenging in quite a unique way. Since it is not taught to a very significant degree in the UK's education system, it can perhaps seem unapproachable or even strange. But having been in your position myself, I am keen to show you that philosophy can be fun and interesting, as well as a subject worth pursuing.

I am a recent philosophy graduate and offer lessons for GCSE and A Level students taking philosophy and ethics or related courses. They aim to be relaxed and conversational, providing an appropriate environment for students to understand the content of their learning better and feel more confident in their work. I am also committed to a discussion-based style of teaching as this matches with the nature of the subject and allows students to develop their thoughts in a productive and creative way. Lessons will also be devoted to looking over essays/essay plans and conversations will be oriented around these where desired. I typically offer 1 hour sessions.
