About Gian
I have a PhD in space plasma physics and have a paper published about charged particles at Mars. I am currently working to expand my skill set to more general data science, and want to take those skills I learned when analyzing physical data to look at real-life data sets (such as energy consumption and statistical processes like stocks). I love looking at new problems from a lens of problems I know how to solve, and use this extensively in my teaching.

I like to teach by using real world examples which connect the concepts to the mathematics. For example, using springs to teach conservation of energy, and showing how frictional forces can make mechanical energy not conserved. I want to teach all levels, from high school students in Physical science courses to individuals who are taking college level physics, such as Quantum Mechanics.
