About Ira

My lessons bring physics and technology together to make learning exciting and meaningful. I use a nurturing and personalized approach that encourages you to explore physics through computation. Together, we’ll dive into computer modeling, data visualization, and the basics of scientific programming, step by step. We’ll use simulations to see how theories come to life and coding exercises to solve real-world problems. You’ll learn numerical methods that help tackle complex physics scenarios, from motion to energy systems. I believe in making these skills accessible, even if you’ve never coded before. I guide students who are curious about building simulations or analyzing experiments with computers, helping them turn their curiosity into confidence. You’ll discover how to visualize data beautifully and understand patterns you might otherwise miss. My lessons open up new ways to explore and question the world scientifically.

About the lesson

I’m a Physics tutor with over 8 years of experience and a BSc in Biophysics. My passion lies in making the fascinating world of light and its applications come alive for my students. I specialize in applied optics, helping learners understand concepts like light propagation, total internal reflection, lens design, and image formation through practical, real-world examples.

We’ll explore how fiber optics carry vast amounts of data in modern telecommunications, using total internal reflection to guide light efficiently over long distances. I also show how microscopy techniques use lenses and light propagation to reveal the hidden structures of cells and tissues in biomedical imaging. These examples make the theory relatable and the learning engaging.

I’ve worked closely with future engineers and medical device developers, helping them grasp how to design optical systems for both communication and healthcare. My lessons emphasize the beauty of how physics principles translate directly into cutting-edge technologies.

Whether you’re struggling with equations or curious about how lenses actually form images, I tailor my teaching to your level and goals. Together we’ll solve problems step by step and build your confidence in tackling optical challenges.
