About Lexi
I have been playing piano for over ten years. I have participated in recitals as well as a couple auditions. In fact, I won 1st place in the National Piano Guild Audition. I took lessons in songwriting and voice for over a year, and I can teach my students some of the basics of each. That way, they can get a well-rounded lesson and see if they are interested in going further down either or both of these routes.

I am excellent with children, and would be able able to teach anyone who is just starting out or who is under level 3! I will teach both the major and minor scales as well as any piano pieces and theory within those levels. Additionally, I will introduce them to some of the famous pianists of the past (Bach, Mozart, Shumann, etc.)
I also would be more than happy to teach my students the basics of writing a pop song as well as get my students open to singing—which has personally built my confidence as an individual. I was homeschooled from kindergarten to high school, and I sincerely believe that any type of education is a tool meant to help children fulfill their callings rather than provide a status of their worth. I truly believe in giving students a well rounded education so they can have the chance to try out each of the creative means of communication and see which they like best!
I know several excellent teachers who have worked in the music department for years and can further my students’ education when they reach higher levels than I am able to teach, and can additionally get them ready for college level music.
I will be available to start lessons in September, but I am taking requests now! As for songwriting and voice, you do not need anything except a tablet or phone (or something to play karaoke music on) and a pencil and some paper to write your songs. I can’t wait to meet all of you!
