About Brinda
My piano teaching approach focuses on helping students build real musical fluency from the very first lesson. I believe that music should feel natural, expressive, and alive from day one. That’s why I combine practical skills with creativity, so students not only play the notes but truly feel the music. I place strong emphasis on finger independence, reading fluency, and real-time rhythm training to develop solid technique and confidence. Duet playing is also a key part of my lessons—it builds listening skills, timing, and a sense of joy in collaboration. For those passionate about playing pop songs or leading music in community and worship settings, I provide clear tools to understand chord progressions, play by ear, and shape beautiful, flowing accompaniment. I teach students how to move between written sheet music and improvisation with ease. Lessons are paced according to each learner’s level and musical goals, and I always leave room for creative input. I often include ear training, simple arranging, and harmonic awareness as students progress.

With over 7 years of experience as a piano tutor and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano, I’ve dedicated my journey to helping students discover the depth and beauty of their own musical voice. My teaching is rooted in expressive performance, tone control, and the art of musical storytelling. I believe that every piece tells a story—and every pianist is a storyteller. I specialise in guiding students through classical repertoire and film music, helping them find meaning, emotion, and personal expression in every note. Whether you’re aiming to audition for a conservatoire, enter a competition, or simply play with more heart, I tailor my lessons to your goals and dreams. My mentorship style is supportive yet ambitious—I challenge students to grow while encouraging their creativity and individuality. I’ve had the privilege of coaching young musicians who’ve gone on to succeed in high-level performance settings, and I understand the dedication and refinement that path requires.
