About Nola
Hi, I’m a piano teacher with over 14 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance. Music has always been a powerful part of my life, and I love sharing that passion with others. My teaching goes beyond just notes and keys—I help students connect emotionally to the music they play. I believe that when you feel the music, your playing becomes more expressive and meaningful. At the same time, I place strong emphasis on building solid foundations in technique and theory. I guide students step by step, helping them understand scales, chords, rhythm, and musical structure. Lessons are structured, but always encouraging and flexible. Whether you're a beginner or someone returning to the piano, I tailor lessons to fit your pace and goals. I’ve worked with students of all ages and levels, supporting their growth in both classical and contemporary styles. I love seeing students gain confidence and enjoy the process of learning. My piano teaching approach is all about structured skill-building and musical growth. I guide students through essential techniques like chord progressions, scales, and rhythm exercises to build a strong foundation. Each lesson is designed with clear steps and goals.
I also focus on expanding your repertoire, so you’re always learning music that’s both fun and challenging. Whether you're playing pop, jazz, or classics, we’ll build a set of songs you enjoy and feel proud of. I make sure lessons are practical and engaging, using real-time feedback to keep your progress on track.
My sessions are especially welcoming to adults who are learning for personal joy or picking up piano after a break. I create a relaxed and encouraging space, where progress happens at your pace. You’ll never feel rushed, but always supported.
I also help players who love pop and want to sound great without needing to read complex sheet music. Together, we’ll learn how to play by ear, follow lead sheets, and sound confident with chords and rhythms.
