About Jude
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 14 years of experience, teaching students of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced players. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching 200 to 300 students, helping each one grow in skill, confidence, and creativity. My teaching approach focuses on patience, motivation, and adapting to each student’s learning style. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and meaningful by combining solid technique with creative exercises like improvisation, ear training, and musical expression. I teach a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, pop, and funk, and encourage students to explore music that inspires them. I also bring strong communication and cultural sensitivity into my teaching, creating a space where every student feels comfortable and supported. Whether you're just starting your piano journey or looking to take your playing to the next level, I’m here to guide and inspire you. My goal is to not only teach you how to play, but to help you truly connect with the music and enjoy the process.

My teaching methodology for piano is built on creativity, motivation, and cultural sensitivity. I believe learning piano should be both educational and enjoyable. I focus on helping students express themselves through music while building a strong foundation in technique, theory, and performance. I use creative tools like musical storytelling, ear training, and improvisation to make each lesson engaging and personalised. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to their individual pace, style, and goals. I encourage students to explore different genres such as classical, jazz, soul, funk, and pop, helping them find the style they connect with most. Cultural sensitivity is a key part of my teaching, and I respect and include music from different backgrounds and traditions. I aim to keep students motivated by setting clear goals, celebrating progress, and inspiring them to practise with purpose. In addition to piano, I also teach related subjects such as keyboard, synthesiser, harpsichord, and basic music theory. My goal is to help students not just play the piano, but truly enjoy the journey and grow a lasting love for music.
