About Emma
I have a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Culture from the University of California and 8 years of experience teaching French to students of all ages and backgrounds. I lived in France for two years, so I can teach you not just the language but also help you understand French culture and customs. I teach pronunciation by showing you exactly how to make French sounds, then we practice together until it feels natural. Everything is taught through speaking practice rather than just memorizing rules, because the goal is to actually communicate in French. I give you immediate help with pronunciation and grammar so you develop good habits from the beginning. Lessons include fun activities like role-playing real-life situations, describing pictures, and having simple conversations about topics you find interesting. I also provide practice materials and suggestions for French music, movies, or other content you can enjoy outside of lessons.
