About Doug
I have worked as a museum teacher and in different religious nonprofits where I learned how to present material to students in fun and engaging ways that emphasize active participation and engagement. I have led smaller classrooms and small groups in discussion and teaching times. I also have experience with providing child care for children of all ages, though mostly with preadolescent boys with developmental disorders, so I know the importance of structuring a day that appropriately balances learning, active playtime, and breaks and how to set clear boundaries to help give children clear expectations and a sense of rhythm.
