About Kimberley

I have amassed over 5 years of experience as a Classical Educator, specializing in teaching 5th and 6th-grade students. My instructional approach is characterized by an energetic and innovative teaching style. I firmly believe that every student can learn, and as educators, our task is to discover the most effective way to teach them. About the lesson

Here is a copy of one of my lesson plans from a literature class.

Today's lesson will focus on the historical Oregon Trail, an important route that pioneers used to travel from Missouri to Oregon in the mid-1800s. During this time, thousands of brave individuals and families faced treacherous conditions, including harsh weather, disease, and dangerous terrain, in their quest to start a new life in the West.
To start our lesson, I will provide an overview of the era and the significance of the Oregon Trail. We will then dive into the specifics of the trail, including the challenges that settlers faced and the tools they used to overcome them. Finally, we will have a fun sing-along session to reinforce the facts we've learned about this pivotal moment in American history.
By the end of today's lesson, students will have a better understanding of the trials and triumphs of those who traveled the Oregon Trail, and how it shaped the American West.H2

My son absolutely loves and adores Ms. Kimberley. She motivated him to love the subject she was teaching which was history. (Not many kiddos enjoy history) She was also able to keep him engaged in his lessons, think, and ask good questions. Although many questions, I couldn’t answer at home without google. But she always made herself available, to help not only him but us as parents as well. We love and thank you for all you’ve done.
