About Zach
I have worked in various roles as an educator in addition to my work as a writer, poet, comedian, & artist. My educational experiences include schools, daycares, afterschool programs, summer camps, and one-on-one academic tutoring. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University in Film Studies & Production. In addition to my academic teaching, I have experience working as an acting coach & a teaching artist. I am one of the founding members of the Ambiguity Improv Group, an improvisational theater club that I led as the Teacher, Treasurer, & Events Coordinator. Prior to the pandemic, I worked as a Teaching Artist for Wingspan Arts in Brooklyn, New York. I created & enacted an original curriculum for 5th-grade students to create & perform their own unique sketch comedy. I feel most engaged when I get to interact with others, utilize my creativity, or expand or extend my knowledge in some way.

I like to bring a fun, laid-back approach to the learning experience. Because I believe this is where learning thrives the most. I have taught elementary school grades K-5, as well as at the middle school level grades 6-8. I have two years of experience working as a private tutor for students from kindergarten to the 7th grade. I have both taught & tutored students in the subjects of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies/History. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University in Film Studies & Production.
