About AJ
I love working with kids, especially budding young artists with a desire to create. As an illustrator with over seven years of experience (and more to come), I have the practical knowledge necessary to teach kids the fundamentals of art and design along with more advanced techniques as they progress. Whatever the student's current skill level may be, I can help them improve their artistic abilities in a fun, creative environment.

I teach middle school and high school students who have a interest in art, particularly the mediums of illustration, comics, and cartoons. I work with kids one-on-one, either in person or over Zoom, teaching them about the fundamentals of design along with the ins and outs of cartooning. Together, we will assess their artistic goals, brainstorm projects, and learn how to complete an illustration or comic page from start to finish.
My goal as an instructor is to foster an environment of creativity and instill a lifelong passion for art. Whether art is their favorite hobby or their future career, what matters is that they're having fun while being creative.
