About Mia
I have been an avid English writer and reader since I was a young child, so I have a lot of passion for the subject. I do not rush students, as I know it can be difficult to understand some concepts. However, I want to work through any problems students may have and succeed them together so that the students can have individual confidence in their own reading. I am a tutor, but I would like for students to be comfortable around me and ask anything about the subject if they are curious about it.

I am very passionate about writing and reading the English language, and my hope is for students to fall in love with it as well. As a teaching method, I enjoy reading and scanning documents or flashcards with students so that they can tell me directly when something confuses them. I will talk through problems with them and my biggest mission is to make them feel comfortable reading alone and for them to succeed in reading all kinds of text pieces. My lessons are for kindergarten to middle school students. Lessons for students begin by introducing what we are reading, then following by me reading it for them, with them, and them finishing the document by themselves. At the very end is for questions and possible help resources for outside of the lesson.
