About Graham
Having studied philosophy and modern languages (French, Spanish, and Italian) to DipHE level, I am able to provide tutition in these areas in addition to psychology, neuroscience, statistics and coding. I am a qualified English as a foreign language teacher with a grade average of 20/22 in psychology and statistics. I have studied at the University of St Andrews (Philosophy and Modern Languages), University of Glasgow (Psychology, Neuroscience, and Statistics), Unviersity of Radboud (Clincal Psychology Practice), Univeristy of Aarhus (Neuroimaging), and the University of Oxford (Master's in Psychological Research).
I have tutored people in English, French, and Spanish, as well as mathematics and statistics. Students often make great progress becuase I use the psychology of learning to help students retain what we learn. With a breadth of academic experience, I am also well placed to offer specific advice in terms of navigating the expectations of higher level study and exams.

Whilst my teaching method shall be tailored to the individual's needs and capacities, I shall base my pedagogy on psychological research in learning and memory. Lessons will be structured around learning how to learn (elaborate encoding, method of loci, practice recall etc) as applied to the tutored discipline. Furthermore, examination requirements and syllabus will be considered, as well as incorporating students' on-going feedback into lesson planning. Generally, lessons will follow this structure: introduction to topic, explanation of appropriate learning methods, testing, critical engagement, questions for further learning.
