About Emily

My name is Emily, and I am a dedicated and experienced tutor with five years of experience running my business, Everley Tutoring, with great success for my students. I am going into my fifth year of studying Law (honours) and Psychology minoring in Human Rights at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and in addition to my academic pursuits, I work as a law clerk at a criminal law firm and tutor at All Hallows’ school.

I offer services across various subjects, including Psychology, Legal Studies, Modern History, English, Dance and Study of Religion. I also offer assistance in numerous skills and extracurriculars, including public speaking, motivational goal-setting, assessment preparation strategies and general student coaching and enrichment.

My approach to tutoring is individualised, focusing on creating personalised systems that cater to each student's unique learning needs. I teach effective strategies for assessment preparation that help students stay organised, avoid feeling overwhelmed, and ensure comprehensive coverage of all topics for assessments.

I am passionate about empowering my students to develop self-accountability in their learning, offering support for various study needs, including emergency study assistance, long-term tutoring, assessment preparation, ISMG run-throughs, grade review sessions, and assessment editing. I take pride in combining content knowledge with study skills, helping students apply their understanding effectively to different assessment formats.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring for 5 years, teaching over a hundred students during this time. I currently have a number of brilliant students that I work closely with on a weekly schedule (or when they are feeling overwhelmed), ensuring that they feel empowered and enjoy the learning experience so that they can excel in their academics. I take pride in combining study skills with content to teach my students how to best apply their knowledge to different types of assessments.

I tutor people anywhere from prep to university level and I can accommodate in person or online sessions.
