My teaching approach is, I base my lesson from the text and structure my tutoring/class sessions around the content/material within the book. I have a very straightforward approach that utilizes repetition and recognition of concepts that need to be demonstrated for mastery. Sometimes I will have a student perform a task or set of operations in order to develop or demonstrate a skill.
I am alumni of the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a degree in mathematics and a masters degree in curriculum and instruction. My most well versed content areas are algebra, calculus and precalculus. I’m also pretty good at higher order mathematics.
