About Maxine
Learning a foreign language requires diligence, determination, and most importantly, the right teacher!
A recent graduate of Gettysburg College with a bachelor's degree in French Studies. Lived for five months in Nantes for my studies and worked as a fille au pair for nine months in Biarritz and Paris.
I offer an open and calm approach to learning French.
During my time living in France, I learned more than I ever could have in the classroom or through books.
Learning a language should never be something that causes anxiety, but instead, a way to increase appreciation of another culture and gain confidence in yourself!

I offer my tutoring services to all levels.
To properly construct an effective lesson plan, a level evaluation will be conducted and goals for the future will be discussed.
After spending over a year abroad in France, I have gained much real-world experience and vocabulary. This experience has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the French language in a way that is not taught through an average textbook.
