About Faith

Hi! My name is Faith. I just finished my freshman year at Auburn University, where I’m studying nursing. Even though I’m passionate about healthcare, I’ve always had a love for math. Growing up, my dad owned a math tutoring center, so I was constantly surrounded by it—and that early exposure helped me build strong skills and a real appreciation for how math works. Because of that background, I not only understand the subject but also how to teach it in a way that’s clear and encouraging. I know how frustrating math can be, and I’m here to make it less overwhelming and more manageable—whether you're reviewing for a test, struggling with homework, or just trying to build confidence. I'm committed to being prepared, patient, and supportive in every session. My goal is to help you feel capable and confident with math, no matter your current level.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Faith, and I would love to help you understand math in a way that actually makes sense. I can tutor anything from basic math up to Pre-Calculus.

My teaching method and techniques:
I like to break things down into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I focus on building confidence and helping you really get the “why” behind each concept—not just memorizing formulas. I believe everyone learns differently, so I try to adjust my style based on what works best for you.

A typical lesson plan:
Before each session, I ask that you send me what you're struggling with—whether it’s specific problems, topics, or homework. That way, I can come prepared with examples and explanations that are tailored just for you. During our session, we’ll walk through the material together, work through practice problems, and take time to go back over anything that’s still unclear.

What sets me apart:
I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I genuinely care about helping you succeed. Math can be intimidating, but I’ll help you build skills and confidence at your own pace. I also remember what it feels like to be confused in class and not want to ask questions—that’s why I make sure our sessions feel comfortable and judgment-free.
