About Tessa

I used a dedicated study plan for two months during the summer before entering junior year of high school and earned an SAT score of 1570. I understand the journey to academic success because I attended a very rigorous magnet high school in a competitive urban environment. I have the knowledge and experience to help your child improve their scores. I also achieved a 1490 on my NMSQT and earned 4s and 5s on all my AP exams. I have tutored more than 10 kids in the community and tutor my two siblings.

About the lesson

Unlocking your kid's potential starts with the right prep, and that's where I can help- the average improvement from my help has been 230 points and a jump to at least the 90th percentile. The kids I've worked with have been accepted into McNair Academic, Regis High School, Georgia Tech, Northeastern, and Columbia University!

I use supplemental materials for weekly assignments and practice tests. I always use Khan Academy and I may recommend other sites as well for specific lessons and practice. I prefer that when online, both of us show our work through Jamboard or the camera so we can understand the thought process.

I'm happy to accommodate to active parents! We can call once every other week to discuss progress and priorities.
