About Cole

I graduated 11th in my class of around 300 in 2024. I did not gain a love of math until my senior year, in which I took Calculus under the guidance of the legendary Mrs. Markos. Because of Mrs. Markos' outstanding and refined teaching, I was able to score a 5 on the AP Calculus exam. I endeavor to imitate the passionate examples of teaching that I was so privileged to experience at BHS and Blinn.

Over my four years in High School, I took seven AP tests including World History, Spanish Language and Culture, English Language and Composition, Drawing (submission), Literature and Composition, Calculus AB, and Biology. I passed every exam and scored above a 3 on over half of them. I also took four dual-credit courses with Blinn College including United States History I & II, Federal Government, and Macroeconomics.

Between my Junior and Senior year of High School, I made significant progress in my English test taking skills as I went from making a 3 on the AP Language and Composition exam to making a 5 on the AP Literature and Composition exam; I had the necessary knowledge of the curriculum going into both tests, but what changed were my test taking strategies and mentality. Likewise, I took my PSAT score from a 1200 to a 1340 on the actual SAT without doing any SAT preparation, but instead, by improving my pace and being more careful of where I was spending my time on the test.

About the lesson

Lessons are for students from junior high to high school. Tutoring is tailored to the needs of each individual student for both math and writing, and AP test preparation. My approach to directing the advancement of a student is by not only teaching and practicing with them, but also by coaching their mentality in order to strengthen the student's relationship with what they are studying. I believe that no matter where a student's skill level is, they have the capacity for tremendous progress so that they can go out and dominate whatever they fear; For one student, that could be his algebra quizzes, and for another, it could be the MCQ section of an AP English exam - no matter what, anyone can succeed.
