I am an experimentalist physicist, saying exactly, MS in applied nuclear physics. At the same time I taught students general physics at Quantum College in Armenia, as well as applied nuclear physics at Yerevan State University and at Yerevan State Engineering University. Since 2013 I have taught college Physics at NOVA and Montgomery colleges. Alongside, I always enjoyed tutoring and have been helping school students (4, 10, 11 and 12 grades) and university entrants with Physics and Math throughout my career path.
Aside from the actual lesson, I offer monitoring of the student’s daily homework by email and provide related content to help prepare for quizzes and unit exams. Our first meeting is usually focused on getting to know the level of learner’s knowledge, goals and expectations for improvement. To help facilitate the discussion, I also often discuss state and county requirements for certain grades and subjects (e.g. MD High school standards).
Through my experience I realized that collaborative approach is the key to success and contributes greatly to the improvement of the learner’s knowledge level. My inclusive methodology, allows parents and learners engage in the process of development, and together observe the results. Additionally, the feedback allows me to continuously enhance the effectiveness of the tutoring process, thus tailoring it to a particular learning style and the student.
I have been giving lectures and lab section of Physics around 15 years, at colleges and Universities, and also work a s a tutor for HS students in Physics and Math.
As a rule my class contains no more than 18-20 students, as for tutoring I prefer one to one practice, since this is the best way to improve learner knowledge.
According to my experience and practice, learner may achieve appreciable progress in two weeks after beginning of our lesson.
However the lesson is a collaborative work, I mean a learner should work hard to achieve success during mentioned period. As a rule, my students gain B or A instead of initial C or B, but the main result is their knowledge which provide them with necessary confidence in own education.
As a rule, my rates may vary based on student's level and distance I need to drive.
For example, rate for Calculus and Physics 2 will be higher than for Algebra 1 and Physics 1; or rate for college level lesson will be higher than for HS students.

I am a co-author of scientific discovery in field of physical chemistry, author of many patents and publications, as well as of Manual on radiation protection for NPP's personnel.
