About Sophia
Hi! I'm a physics major at Cal Poly SLO, a lifelong gymnast, and a passionate tutor who loves helping students build confidence in math and science. I’ve been coaching and mentoring for over five years and truly enjoy passing on my love for learning. Outside the classroom, I love being out in nature—hiking, biking, exploring, and finding fun ways to connect what I learn in school to the world around me, like thinking about physics while working on my bikes or looking at the night sky! I’ve always been surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, birds, fish, and even horses—and they make every day more exciting. I also have two younger sisters who I love spending time with, whether we’re playing, learning something new, or just having fun together!

With 5+ years of tutoring experience, gymnastics coaching, and babysitting, I bring energy, patience, and encouragement to every lesson. I create a supportive space where kids feel confident asking questions, stay curious, and genuinely enjoy learning. As a physics major at Cal Poly SLO, I love sharing my passion for science and math and helping students thrive in school—and even look forward to tutoring!
