About Amanda
Being the oldest of five siblings, I’ve always found myself in a tutoring role without even realizing it. I have fond memories of helping each of my siblings with their homework, and it brought me a great sense of pride to take some of the pressure off my mom. Now, as a parent to two middle schoolers, I’ve learned how to adapt my teaching methods to meet evolving educational needs and provide up-to-date, relevant rationales for today's curriculum.

Hi! My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence by first highlighting a student's strengths before diving into areas for improvement. I love creating silly mnemonics or sayings that help students remember concepts in a fun and creative way. I'm a spelling and grammar whiz and am great with improving reading fluency and comprehension skills.
Last semester, I had the opportunity to tutor in the nursing department at my college. I am also prepared to help with NCLEX prep using materials from Davis, ATI, Pearson, and Lippincot
