About Peyton
I bring 8 years of focused experience in teaching Singing to school and college students, and I specialize in creating deeply personalized learning experiences that cater to each student's strengths, challenges, and artistic dreams. My approach is built on respect for individuality. No two voices are the same, and I believe your voice deserves its own custom roadmap. Whether you’re struggling with pitch, looking to expand your range, or preparing for a big audition, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be. We begin with an in-depth vocal assessment, where I identify your natural strengths and areas for growth. From there, we build a program that includes tailored warm-ups, targeted technique exercises, genre-based training, and interpretation coaching. We track progress through recordings, session summaries, and periodic evaluations. I incorporate real-world tools like backing track rehearsal, looped vocal drills, AI-assisted pitch training, and guided journaling to help students stay engaged and motivated. We also discuss songwriting, lyric interpretation, and stage presence development, especially for students pursuing contemporary music. In my lessons, I emphasize vocal health, consistent practice habits, and self-reflection. My goal is not just to improve your voice but to help you become a lifelong, independent learner in music. Students have praised my ability to make complex ideas simple, and to provide honest yet encouraging feedback that motivates them to grow. Whether your goal is personal growth, public performance, or professional study, I’m here to support your journey with integrity, passion, and expertise. Together, we’ll build a voice that reflects the best version of you.

To sing is to tell the truth through sound—to shape air and emotion into something felt by both the singer and the listener. In my teaching, I aim to support students in finding this truth through grounded technique, embodied expression, and mindful inquiry.
Our work begins with functional vocal training. I focus on establishing efficient breath management, stable alignment, healthy onsets, and resonant tone production. Every exercise is designed to support balance and ease across the registers while encouraging kinesthetic awareness. I want students to feel ownership of their instrument—to understand how it works and how to care for it. We approach technique with curiosity and flexibility, always adapting to the student’s evolving coordination.
Once the voice is functioning freely, we explore the interpretive dimension of singing. I guide students through the emotional terrain of their repertoire, helping them connect to character, story, and intention. We investigate the music’s structure, the arc of a phrase, the color of a word, and the underlying emotional subtext. This work is supported by practices such as guided imagery, character improvisation, and dramaturgical research.
I also believe strongly in the role of cultural context. Repertoire is never chosen in a vacuum—we examine where the piece comes from, what its original purpose was, and what implications it may carry today. This creates informed performers who are not only expressive but also responsible stewards of the music they sing. Perseverance is woven into every lesson. Progress in singing often requires patience and emotional resilience, and I coach students through these challenges with compassion and structure.
We create systems of feedback, goal-setting, and reflective practice that allow students to stay engaged even in moments of difficulty. My studio is a space where growth is prioritized over perfection, and where each singer’s voice is honored as unique. Ultimately, my mission is to help students find joy in the process and truth in their sound.
