About Giuseppe

My name is Ilke and I came to Milan to study architecture, and with Peppe, who has been teaching for many years, we deal with modeling and rendering in architecture for our work.

During our activity as architects we meet many young people because we started an international internship program in our studio many years ago.

Working in a team with interns and trainees who ask us to have an experience in our studio gives us the opportunity to understand what is needed to teach those who are learning.

WHAT ARGUMENTS DO WE ADDRESS IN SKETCHUP LESSONS
The most popular and simple software for designing architecture and interiors in 3D quickly will allow us to understand how:
- transform a two-dimensional drawing into a 3D model
- apply colors and textures
- create and save scenes
- work in groups and simplify work also thanks to the use of components
- use the Sketchup Warehouse library
- use Extensions for complex projects and speed up the process
- get plans and sections from a 3d model
- create curved surfaces and shapes
- export for rendering and virtual reality
and so on.

WHAT ARGUMENTS DO WE ADDRESS IN LUMION LESSONS FOR SKETCHUP
In a few steps we will be able to obtain realistic renderings of great impact in a very short time with little effort starting from our Sketchup model. This will not only be useful for presenting the project but also for verifying the result of our work in real time by predicting the final effect while we are designing.
Together we will learn to:
- insert and manage the materials and their characteristics of reflection, brilliance, bumping etc.
- use the materials of the library
- manage customized materials
- manage natural as well as artificial lighting
- organize the positioning of the project within natural and urban scenarios created by art
- complete the render with human figures and other useful elements to restore the proportions of the project
- position the shooting points to obtain professional shots
- use the depth of field and the focal length according to the characteristics we want to highlight
- use atmospheric conditions to create settings of greater effect (sunsets, snow, rain, fog, sun etc.)
- control reflections and mirrors through probes and reflective planes
- make videos with animations so that living beings and elements of the moving scene will give the video a more realistic content

WHAT ARGUMENTS WE ADDRESS IN THE V-RAY LESSONS FOR SKETCHUP
V-Ray for Sketchup remains today one of the most popular and easy-to-use software to obtain professional photorealistic renderings of your SkecthUp model thanks to the control of physical parameters and simulation of optical phenomena of the highest level.
With some basic exercises we will gradually learn how to:
- know and use the different types of light sources
- use the materials of the library
- manage customized materials
- position the shooting points to obtain professional shots
- use the depth of field and the focal length according to the characteristics we want to highlight
- render photo insertions and photomontages
- use Gimp to postproduce: manage people and moving objects, skies, points of light, reflections and other effects capable of increasing realism

WHAT TOPICS DO WE ADDRESS IN THE GIMP LESSONS
Gimp represents the most popular free alternative to Photoshop and allows you to produce impressive images: we will thus discover techniques and tricks of true digital artists.
Here are some of the topics that we can choose to explore together:
- get the best definition of an image
- import and merge several images
- work by layers and groups of layers
- create a photomontage
- use the editing tools to make montages and photo insertions
- paint with the mouse
- transparencies and color overlays
- manage fonts
- modify a drawing, an image or a text
- apply effects to images
- transform a photograph into a drawing
- create animated gifs starting from a drawing or a photo

WHAT ARGUMENTS WE ADDRESS IN THE INKSCAPE LESSONS
Projects and vector graphics with the most popular free alternative to Illustrator? Here is Inkscape! Versatile, light and easy to use, it will allow us to quickly design logos and writing, but also to create illustrations and layout graphics with texts and images.
We will be able to learn how to:
- draw simple illustrations
- manage the filling and outline of the figures in different ways
- round off broken lines
- draw on a two-dimensional grid
- draw on a 3D effect grid
- use 3D effects
- use gradient fills
- design a logotype
- draw an ideogram
- design a text by customizing the font
- create 2D and 3D diagrams for professional presentations
- automatically extract an illustration from an image
- export an illustration in different formats

WHICH TOPICS WE TACKLE IN DRAWING LESSONS WITH THE GRAPHIC TAB
The graphic tablet represents today an indispensable tool for illustrating and modifying visual content. With great simplicity we will be able to learn together to use this tool to:
- freehand drawing
- make better our skills
